FDA x Gomes Debate

Register for FDA Gomes’ 3rd annual program, in partnership with Gomes PTA and FUSD! The deadline to sign up is March 6th!

DISCLAIMER: Because of limited resources, we will be capping this year’s program at 24-30 students. Students will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis.

Fremont Debate Academy (FDA), a 501 © (3) non-profit organization, will be running its 3rd ever Gomes Debate program. This program is only for 4th-5th grade students. This year, we’re running an 8 week long competitive debate program focusing on the Middle School Public Debate Format at Gomes Elementary School. Students will learn various structured forms of argumentation, and research techniques. Through practice sessions, drills, and mini-competitions, students’ public speaking skills will be vastly improved. The final goal will be to give students a head-start into the highly selective FDA Debate program for students attending Hopkins. At the end of the school year, there will be a FDA international tournament!

FDA Gomes sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 4-5:30 PM at Gomes Elementary. The location will be shared upon confirmation. There will be 8 classes for this program. The start date for the sessions will be March 12th and the last session will be on 5/7.  Note: Parents are responsible for picking their children up promptly at 5:30 PM right after the session. Location will be shared upon registration confirmation.
