Rishabh Meswani
Rishabh Meswani is Founder & CEO of Fremont Debate Academy and works as a Data Scientist at Asana. He graduated from UC Berkeley, studying Data Science and Business Admnistration (Haas). As President of Irvington Debate in the 2016-2017 School Year, Rishabh led a 170 competitive member team to #4 in national rankings in Parliamentary Debate, and the #1 student-run led team. His other qualifications include Top 20 in national rankings, 5th at the California State Debate Championships, competing at the Tournament of Champions, and serving on the founding Board of the National Parliamentary Debate League.
Rachit Pareek
Rachit Pareek is founder and CFO of Fremont Debate Academy and works as a Software Engineer at Roblox. He recently graduated from UC Berkeley as a Regents' Scholar with a triple degree in Global Management, Computer Science, and Data Science, and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree with a focus in Machine Learning from Columbia University. Rachit was heavily involved in parliamentary debate, qualifying for semifinals at the Stanford invitational as a freshman, quarterfinals at the Santa Clara University tournament, and undefeated records/top speaker awards at numerous others.
William Yoo
William is Founder and Chief Education Officer of Fremont Debate Academy. William is also a Venture Capital Analyst at Osney Capital, and graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. He was President of Irvington Debate in 2018, leading a student-run team to become one of the top parliamentary teams in the nation. His debate qualifications include becoming a State Championship semi-finalist, going undefeated in the State Qualifiers, and being ranked in the top 20 teams nationally. He also qualified to the TOC twice, and debated at University for the Oxford Union.
Vasuman Moza
Vasuman Moza is a founder and the CTO of Fremont Debate Academy, and is also a software engineer at Meta and UC Berkeley Alumnus (Computer Science and Haas School of Business, Class of 2022). Vasuman was also a seasoned debater in middle and high school. Among other accolades, he qualified for the semifinals at the Stanford Invitational as a freshman, and the quarterfinals at the Santa Clara University debate tournament. Vasuman also boasted an undefeated record at almost a dozen debate tournaments, including several Golden State Speech and Debate Association tournaments.
Ashwin Raghuraman
Ashwin Raghuraman is Executive VP of Special Projects at Fremont Debate Academy. He is also an incoming Freshman at the Keough School in Notre Dame University. Ashwin was taught in one of FDA's first years of operation, and since then has been involved in activities ranging from Debate and Model UN to Peer Counseling, culminating in him running for political office in 2022. He has been ranked in the top 20 teams for Parliamentary Debate from 2020-2022, and Public Forum top 10 from 2022-2023. Additionally, the Model United Nations program he led has won Best Large Delegation 5 times, securing its spot as the best team in the Bay Area. In the Fremont Debate Academy, he has been a lead for 3 separate programs, and has spearheaded curriculum reforms.
Sissi Zhang
Sissi Zhang is a Executive VP of Special Projects at the Fremont Debate Academy. She has helped lead the development of a standardized FDA curriculum and worked to create 21 new programs in the Fremont Unified School District. As the Director of Communications at Irvington Debate, Sissi has ranked Top 20 in parliamentary debate and competed at the Tournament of Champions. She is also Fremont Unified's student board member representing ~33,000 students and is a top 3 finalist for the position of CA State Student Board Member.
Sterling Sun
Sterling Sun is a VP of Special Projects at Fremont Debate Academy Since his sophomore year, Sterling has served as one of the Head Coaches of FDA's Horner Middle School Program and as a Coach in the East Bay Debate League. This program has been ranked #1 in the South Bay Debate Leauge. He has also contributed in the organization's outreach efforts, helping to create new FDA programs outside of California.
Sweekrit Bhatnagar
Sweekrit Bhatnagar is a rising senior at Mountain House High School, and as of 2023, is the Vice President of Education and Summer Vice President in FDA. Sweekrit has worked on leading a team to create the curriculum that FDA programs around the world use! He has been passionate about debate since 4th grade, first participating in FDA's Warm Springs Camp, then moving into FDA Horner Debate, Irvington Debate, and then MHHS Debate, where he qualified to NSDA Nationals this year!
Atasi Singh
Atasi Singh is a rising senior at Irvington High School and, as of 2023, is the Vice President of Civics and Summer Vice President in FDA. he has been apart of Irvington Debate for 3 years! This year she qualified for the Tournament of Champions, States Championships, and was ranked top 20 in the nation. Atasi has worked to help middle schoolers create service projects to tackle issues in their communities. To combat food hunger, her students collected over 700 pounds of food. They gathered around 25 gallons of trash around lakes to end plastic pollution. To help the mental health of senior citizens, they led a 4-day workshop filled with activities to give them company.
Anvesha Sharda
Anvesha Sharda is an incoming senior at Manhattan High School in Manhattan, Kansas. In 2022, she began an FDA debate chapter, prioritizing the formation of strong leads and mentors. She followed up in the spring with an FDA Civics program, piloting one of the first FDA Civics programs outside of California with her amazing team and invested community. Anvesha served as Director of Kansas this past year and will now be joining Fremont Debate Academy’s executive summer team as vice president. Anvesha has done speech and debate for two years. She is a two-time National Speech and Debate Association Finalist, competing in Extemporaneous Speaking 2022 and winning 2nd overall in Congressional Debate in 2021 at the International NSDA Competition.
