Take FDA’s Volunteer Onboarding Course!
Everything you need to become an effective Fremont Debate Academy volunteer!
Welcome to Fremont Debate Academy (FDA)! This course covers everything you need to be an effective FDA volunteer. It specifically covers a bit about the organization, the basics of MSPDP debate (the debate format FDA focuses on), best practices regarding teaching, how to address unexpected scenarios, and general compliance information. Any volunteer that is going to be volunteering for debate & civics programs should complete all of this course. Although we recommend completing the MSPDP part of this course for all volunteers, any volunteer that is only going to be volunteering for civics programs can skip that section if they would like. In other words, if you are a civics volunteer, you will only need to complete 82% of this course.
At the end of the course, we will have a form that requires you to submit proof about your completion status among other milestones, so make sure to take the course diligently! Please reach out to Rishabh Meswani (rishabh@fremontdebateacademy.org) if you have any questions.
We're excited to have you as part of the Fremont Debate Academy family!
