Fremont Debate Academy x Weibel Debate

Register for FDA Weibel’s 7th annual debate program here (in-partnership with the PTO). This program is for 4th to 5th graders. Registrations will be capped to 30-35 students based on a first-come first serve basis. All other students will be placed on a waitlist. Register by March 1st!

This year, Fremont Debate Academy (FDA), a 501 © (3) non-profit organization, is running an 8-week-long competitive debate program focusing on the Middle School Public Debate Format at Weibel Elementary School. Students will learn various structured forms of argumentation, and research techniques. Through practice sessions, drills, and mini-competitions, students’ public speaking skills will be vastly improved. At the end of the school year, there will be an FDA international tournament! We will be splitting up students into a Novice and Advanced section. The Advanced offering will specifically be geared towards students who have participated in a Fremont Debate Academy program before.

FDA Weibel Debate sessions will be held on Fridays from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. There will be 8 classes for this program. The start date for the sessions will be 3/15  in rooms 29 and 30. Our last session will be on 5/17 Note: Parents are responsible for picking their children up promptly at 7:00 pm right after the session.
